How Do Delco Removals Differ From Others?
Because we’re family-owned, we understand that our success over the years comes down to the care and respect we’ve always shown our clients and their belongings. That’s why every member of our team reflects those same values on the job.
Our motto is “with pride and care everywhere,” and we mean it, from your first phone call to the moment we wave goodbye at the end of your move. Mattress and lounge bags are provided free on every move, and we professionally pack and unpack your flat-screen TVs at no extra cost.
In Choosing a Moving Date, Are All Days Equal In Terms Of Costs?
We operate Monday to Friday at the same hourly rate, which increases after 8 hours to cover our staff’s overtime wages.
Saturdays incur overtime penalties for our staff, so the hourly rate is higher, and there’s also a minimum charge of 4 hours.
We Have Delicate Appliances & Furniture, Will It Be Safe During The Move?
Yes. Our professionally trained staff will wrap all furniture and white goods with our top-grade furniture pads and blankets.
Do You Charge Extra If We Live Above Ground Floor Access or In a High Rise?
If you live above the first floor with stair or lift access, we may require more than two people for your job. This does incur extra charges for both interstate and local moves.
What If My Stuff Does Not Fit In One Load / Trip?
We try to avoid a second trip wherever possible. When you call our office with your initial enquiry, one of our experienced team members will ask you a few questions about your move. If they think a second trip may be needed, they’ll suggest arranging a free, obligation-free on-site inspection before your move, so we can make sure you’ve got the right number of staff and the correct size truck or trucks on the day.
Do You Include Plants?
Yes, as part of our full removalist service we’re happy to carry your plants too, just mention it when you book your move.
Do You Have Insurance?
Yes, we hold Carriers’ Liability cover, which protects your furniture and effects in our truck against rollover, fire, flood, theft, and collision. This policy applies only where we’re found to be at fault and liable. We’re also an authorised insurance representative and can arrange additional insurance cover on your behalf.
